Job Purpose

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and execution of marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, product visibility, customer engagement, and business growth across assigned channels and markets. The role works closely with Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain, external agencies, distributors, and customers to ensure effective implementation of marketing programs and alignment with business objectives.

The position plays a key role in supporting channel marketing activities, distributor engagement, market intelligence, promotional campaigns, and sales support initiatives while ensuring efficient execution, budget control, and compliance with company policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Support the development and execution of annual marketing plans and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Assist in implementing marketing programs that support brand growth, product penetration, and customer engagement.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Provide recommendations based on market insights and customer feedback.

Channel & Trade Marketing

  • Support the planning and execution of trade marketing activities across distributors, retail channels, and key accounts.
  • Coordinate promotional campaigns, merchandising activities, and point-of-sale material deployment.
  • Monitor product visibility, availability, and branding execution across assigned channels.
  • Assist in implementing channel activation programs to increase customer engagement and sales performance.
  • Support initiatives aimed at strengthening distributor performance and market coverage.

Marketing Campaigns & Brand Management

  • Coordinate and execute marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital platforms, events, trade activities, and customer engagement programs.
  • Ensure marketing activities are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with approved budgets.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all communication materials and marketing activities.
  • Support the development of marketing collateral, presentations, brochures, promotional materials, and customer-facing content.
  • Ensure all marketing communications comply with corporate branding guidelines.

Digital Marketing & Content Management

  • Support the management and updating of company digital platforms and social media channels.
  • Coordinate content development for websites, social media, email campaigns, and promotional activities.
  • Monitor digital marketing performance, engagement metrics, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide recommendations to improve digital presence and customer engagement.

Market Intelligence & Business Analysis

  • Monitor competitor activities, promotions, pricing strategies, and new product launches.
  • Collect and analyze market data, customer feedback, and channel performance information.
  • Prepare regular reports highlighting market trends, opportunities, and business insights.
  • Support business decision-making through data analysis and performance tracking.

Sales Support & Customer Engagement

  • Collaborate with Sales teams to support customer acquisition, retention, and account development initiatives.
  • Participate in customer visits, trade events, exhibitions, and promotional activities as required.
  • Assist in developing customer-focused marketing programs and value propositions.
  • Support the communication and execution of marketing initiatives through distributors and sales teams.
  • Coordinate with sales teams to ensure marketing programs are effectively implemented in the market.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with internal departments, external agencies, suppliers, and vendors to ensure successful delivery of marketing initiatives.
  • Support vendor management activities, including purchase requests, quotations, and marketing procurement processes.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely delivery of marketing materials and promotional assets.

Reporting & Budget Control

  • Prepare regular marketing performance reports and presentations.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to campaigns, customer engagement, lead generation, and channel performance.
  • Assist in monitoring marketing expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Support the evaluation of marketing activities through performance measurement and return-on-investment (ROI) analysis.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of marketing activities and expenditures.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and marketing standards.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and advertising requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support audit requirements when necessary.

Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Share knowledge, market insights, and best practices with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Marketing function.
